The Capital Area Young Marines meet at the Texas Military Forces Museum on the grounds of Camp Mabry in Austin, Texas.

Directions to the Texas Military Forces Museum at Camp Mabry, Austin, Texas

  1. From Loop 1 (MoPac), take the 35th Street exit and go west on 35th Street.
  2. Pass the old Camp Mabry entrance on the right (which is now barricaded off).
  3. If you see a water treatment plant, a country club, Laguna Gloria, or Mount Bonnell, you have gone too far. If you see Llano, you have gone waaaaay too far.
  4. Pass Exposition Blvd., watch on the right for the entrance to Camp Mabry, turn right and pull up to the security checkpoint (you will need a valid state or federal ID and may be required to consent to a search of the vehicle).
  5. After passing through security, go straight over the hill to the stop sign at the end and turn right.
  6. At the next stop sign turn right again and follow Gen. Mabry Blvd. past the running track on your left to the Texas Military Forces Museum (Building 6) on your right. The main entrance for the Museum is the large white double doors at the center of the building.
