Upcoming Events

Next Drill
Our next drill is Saturday, 3 May 2008.
This is our last drill before school ends and summer begins.
Drill begins at 0800 ( 8:00 A.M. for you civilian types. For those of you in the Air Force and Navy, Mickey's short fat hand is pointing at the 8 and his long skinny hand is pointing at the 12 ).
We will meet at the Day Room behind the Texas Military Forces Museum aboard Camp Mabry in Austin.
Due to the rising price of gasoline and other factors, the overnight campout has been postponed to a later date.

If you're eligible, you will get the opportunity to take a promotion exam, but only if you bring in your Progress Report.
Forget your Progress Report and you will not get to take a promotion exam.

Drill will begin with PT (Physical Training). Be sure to wear your PT gear for the start of drill.
Uniform after PT is the Utility uniform (cammies). Be sure bring this uniform (and your boots and cover).
There is no need to bring a sack lunch for this drill. After the promotion exams we'll have a cookout for lunch and possibly hear from our area's Marine Corps Officer Selection Officer.
Some of you may get to pull KP duty!!!

Note: Boys (male Young Marines and recruits) - be sure to show up with a regulation haircut. If your hair is out of regulation, you will be returned to the custody of your parents or guardian. You may not return to drill until your hair is cut to Young Marine standards or your parents allow one of the Young Marine adult leaders to cut your hair.
